What is Architecture
The word architecture gives different meanings in different context, as it can refer to things like man made buildings and structures, some object which is designed very carefully like a tea kettle, a spoon a chair etc. Similarly, the word is also used for a procedure of designing some structure, building, outdoor space or other object.
The word also refers to systematically arrange ideas or information and in computer sciences it refers to information flow on web pages. So, these are some context in which the word architecture gives different meanings, and it mainly depends on your perspective that you use this word for describing the object you reckon it suitable for it, but these above are some main objects that people usually use for the word architecture.
In the field of construction and building, generally, architecture is known as an art, but function is the thing which differentiates it from an art. It’s true that defining architecture is as difficult as defining are, but one simple thing that are usually used to define architecture is the setting of parameters and similarly some standard are also set to know whether certain object can apply for the criteria we use for architecture.
Frank Lloyd Wright, who is a well known American architect, says about Architecture that Architecture is not all about an array of buildings which are constructed to give pleasure and soothing effect to the people of varying tastes, contrarily, it is an impressive creative spirit which persists, proceeds and creates from age to age and from generation to generation and it describes the nature, circumstances and the surrounding environment of the age it belongs to.
